Srinagar, Nov 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has announced a revised date sheet for the Class 10th Annual/Regular 2025 examinations for the October–November session. The board said the change was necessary due to the upcoming Assembly bye-elections in the Union Territory.
According to the notification issued from the New Campus at Bemina, Srinagar, the revised date sheet will apply to all students of the Kashmir Division. However, the examination centres and timings will remain the same as notified earlier. The board has urged all stakeholders, including schools, students, and district authorities, to take note of the updated schedule and ensure strict compliance.
As per the revised schedule, the examinations will now begin on November 6, 2025, with the Vocational subjects, including Health Care, Tourism and Hospitality, IT and ITES, Retail, Agriculture, and several others. The Science paper will be held on November 13, followed by Urdu and Hindi on November 17. The Computer Science paper is scheduled for November 19, while English will be conducted on November 20.
Home Science will take place on November 23, followed by Additional and Optional subjects such as Arabic, Kashmiri, Dogri, Punjabi, Persian, and Sanskrit on November 24. The Music examination will be held on November 26, and the final paper for Social Science and Painting/Art and Drawing is scheduled for November 27, 2025.
JKBOSE clarified that the adjustment in the exam dates was made solely to avoid any clash with election-related activities. The board further emphasized that all previous guidelines, timings, and examination centre arrangements will continue as earlier.
The circular, signed by the Joint Secretary of Examinations, has been shared with all Deputy Commissioners, the Director of School Education Kashmir, and other relevant officials to ensure smooth implementation. The Directorate of Information has also been instructed to give the revised schedule wide publicity through print and electronic media.
